Hydrogen sulfide is the leading cause of odor complaints. In many cases removing the hydrogen sulfide, removes the offensive odor. The main component of a MARCAB Odor Control System is the time proven Iron Sponge technology. Iron Sponge has been used in scrubber systems to remove hydrogen sulfide for over half a century. Iron Sponge is a woodchip impregnated with hydrated ferric oxide which reacts with hydrogen sulfide to form ferric sulfide and water, thus removing the hydrogen sulfide from the foul-air stream
