Overview

Protectolite ™ Inc., manufactures weir plates and scum baffles, specialty baffles plus related accessories molded from fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) composites. The inherent properties of FRP weirs, troughs and baffles make them ideal for use in water and wastewater applications.

Protectolite ™ weir plates, baffles and troughs are a composite of fiberglass reinforcements (glass and mat) and a thermoset resin system. All components are produced using a matched metal die process. The standard resin system is a cement grey polyester resin. Pultrusion components incorporate a corrosion resistant polyester surfacing veil on the outer surfaces and the cut edges are sealed at the factory. All products are available in fire retardant and various resin grades and color combinations upon request.
